When Desktop icons go missing use the directions listed below.

1. Right click on the desktop

2. Hover over "View" to view a small list of desktop icon settings

3. Click on the option "Show Desktop Icons". All icons missing should return

If the icons you are looking for are not there. Create a ticket and we can troubleshoot the issue. 

Try this - right click desktop and then view -> show desktop icons.
